Hey guys! Figured I'd finally make an account after many many months of scrolling through the threads anonymously!

I have a new (to me) Ranger that I have been doing alt of work to and I need some of y'alls advice.

Its a 1997 Ranger 2wd 2.3 Reg cab. I have changed the rear end from the factory 7.5" open 3.73 to an 8.8 4.10 LSD rear axle. I will be upping the tire size from the factory 225/70R14 to 235/70R16 on Factory Ford FX4 wheels so after doing the math my final gear ratio will be 3.72 which will leave my speedo as it was.

My question is, I am going to be using my Ranger as a tow rig for my Polaris RZR which weighs approx. 1300 pounds on a 550 lb trailer. The terrain I will be hauling it to an from is very hilly highways. The truck will be more so a daily driver than a tow rig (Approx 75 mile round trip a couple weekends out of the month with maybe one 500 mile round trip to West Virginia once a year with the RZR and trailer.) I realize this isn't the ideal truck for this nor will I be getting anywhere quickly, I am just more so concerned about the reliability of the truck.

Would I be fine with the stock clutch or would you recommend I spend the money on a Centerforce? Mind you I must purchase a clutch either way for this truck.

Thanks a million guys!!

Just driving around a stock clutch is fine, you aren't doing anything that crazy... it's not like you are going to do what I did with mine for a while where I ran a stock clutch on a turbo 2.3L in a 4x4 while off road... that involves a LOT more clutch abuse than anything you would do on the road...

A great Centerforce setup is their stock replacement friction disc and the pressure plate with the weights but that's a $300 setup instead of $100 for a stock replacement, it would last longer but I'm not sure if you need it...

Thank you so much for your input!! Does anyone else have any thoughts?
