Okay so, this may belong in the Tailgate. If so, my bad. Anyway. Here's the thought. You have a theoretical $2000 budget for an offroad rig. You can only count things you find on local CL or ebay type sites. May sound stupid but I'm curious to see what you guys come up with!

1200 into the Wagoneer and the rest into axles.

Can I spend 2 grand on my own off road rig? :D

There was a thread like this a couple of years ago but I like games.
This is my 85 B-II;
bought with 4.0 already in - $300 Total $300
front and rear stock axles with 4.10 - $200 Total $500
31x8.5x15 mounted and balanced on stock aluminum rims - $600 T $1,100
Front hitch $35 T $1,135
10,000 lb winch new [costco] on stinger for front or back receiver $500 T $1635
Misc. tune up etc. ~$200 T $1835

Sorry, it's real.
