Needing a breakdown schematic of 2.3L engine

New to Fords and gas engines in general, been a new diesel tech for a while. Just looking for a breakdown of the 2.3L engine to help identify some components to aid in the tune up.

Well, I don't know that I've ever seen a full breakdown schematic for a 2.3... Tuneups are easy though. Spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor if it has a distributor. That's pretty much it, except fuel filter.

Yea, I've searched around an couldn't find anything. I'm just not used to dealing with the vacuum system and some other components I'm not recognizing, since we don't have those on the large Cat engines.

++The best source for what I think you want to know about is the EVTM - Electrical Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual - for the year of your truck.
It has diagrams, schematics, connector breakdowns, test points for some components, and a description of the 'theory of operation' of a lot of systems.
If you can find one, you will find it valuable. IMO. Best bucks I've spent ever on documentatation.

Thanks, tomw. I think that will help. I've never had to learn the vacuum system operation, therefore don't know much about the components involved.

wizkid, I'll check those out after work.

To give a clearer explanation, we have these manuals for all of our engines. Just goes through each component and has a parts blow out. This is an example from a Cat C13...

I've never seen one for these engines.

On a '95 there shouldn't be too much vacuum activated, there's the EGR flow sensor deal, the vacuum actuated heater valve, the evac canister, and the brake booster... there should also be a vacuum diagram under the hood on a sticker
