I had a paper towel holder that screwed to the wall. It was plastic and after 3 decades it gave up. So I've been looking for a cheap replacement for several weeks. I would have thought that would be a stock item in places like Walmart and dollar stores for a couple bucks. Nope! Cheapest I could find was about $14 at Walmart, and it needed to be ordered in. Surely there is something I can do? Maybe make my own? Then I read in another forum some ideas for their garage shops and ran across this idea and made it my own... I gave the handle a 90° twist to fit my application .

Edit; I moved the thread from camping to general.

Very cool idea. I would have put it at a 45* angle and made the end a light socket some how for more bright ideas. lol

Is that a full roll of paper towel?

Ha, nice. I would have never thought to use a paint roller... I'll have to keep that in mind.

I did build a towel rack/paper towel holder for my porch kitchen recently, used a bunch of 1/2" pipe fittings that I had laying around. Spigot is just for looks

Yeah, I saw some cool builds like that, but the tacky yellow suits my RV much better...lol.

I have one of those harbor freight magnetic ones on the side of my refrigerator. Plus a stand up one made of wood scraps for the table.

I'm cramped for space in my RV. And no real steel for magnetic holders.

I'm sure you could find a 4" paint roller with a yellow handle for a TP holder.

I mean nothing wrong going all out.:D
