Need some votes on yes or no to this paint job!

So I was thinking about doing this to my truck.... going old school retro. Doesn't have to be the red rims, may go just black. Just almost like an old rat rod or something. Put a turbo or something in it with some exhaust and all later down the road. Not sure if I'd get tired of it, or if it really looks that good or not though. I hurried and photoshopped this so it's not the greatest but it'll give you an idea.

Thoughts? Never seen one like it before, so don't steal my idea! Lol

It is 2wd by the way... that's why. If it was 4wd I'd be leaving it like it is now. Still may, just an idea!

I do the paint scheme on the truck by get rid of the white wall tired and paint the wheels white

Looks like a really old Mustang...or was it a Spitfire that had that type of decal?

I don't like red so my opinion is biased already...the wheels I would change...stick with something that won't get mucked up...but...your choice...I like the original colour scheme better...

Haha ok! Guess it would look better on an old muscle truck rather than a ranger haha. It was just an idea, I may change it around some or just leave it like it is for quite a while!

I am all for rat rods but rat rods are beat up and rusty not shiny and show room.

This is a rat rod.

I'd say if you want to change the paint, go with a nice clean solid color with maybe a little pinstriping if you like that sort of thing. If you're planning on turbo or mild performance upgrades then keep the paint scheme really bland yet still a bit classy, no bright colors or crazy decals, and have fun with it as a mild sleeper.

That sounds good... I think I will.keep it more simple, the more I look at that the more I'm not sure I like it haha. Going probably flat gray with a small design/flag on each door I think.
