i have a 93 ford ranger 2wd 5speed 2.3l.. an i just bout a 93 ford ranger 2wd with a 3.0l 5speed. with a bad trans. so im gonna swap the 2.3 drivetrain into the 3.0 truck.. all the wiring in the engine bay looks the same in both trucks. with the exception of the started wires since the 3.0 starter is on the driver side an the 2.3 is on the passenger side. i know i have to swap ecus.. when i pulled the motors i unplugged the engine harnesses from the wiring on the driver side fenderwell. and pulled them complete.. does anyone know if i have to swap all the rest of the wiring from one truck to the other. or can i just swap ecus and plug them up to the wiring on the fenderwell. the plugs look the same to me.. need info!!!!

I think it would be the same, but i'm not sure. You could go to a parts store and ask if the part numbers are different.

Body and dash harnesses will be the same. Take everything in the engine bay from the 2.3 truck.

so the 2.3 engine harness will plug into the harness mounted on the fenderwell that runs to all the lights an blower ect. thanks for the info
