Need Help with Fullsize TTB: Need to know my options

Heh.

Is Ford staffed by Dana lovers or what? Why would they require five different front axle capacities for three levels of pickups? I think three would be better. In a given year you can buy a D25, 35, 44,50,60. Finally after years of cratching their ass and losing thier collective shorts and shirts, the can decide on the 35, 44 and 60. But is that really cost effective? Why not a single unit that can work on all three? It might take a few more instances of brilliance, but I know that a 60 pumpkin isn't that much larger than a D35 pumpkin and they could make it work. One assembly line, less bullshit, one part. A D60 isn't a heavy-duty truck part--it's stil a light-duty truck part. It can be made to work in all of the markets.

well now its 35 reg 8.8, 60. was 35 reg 8.8, 50, 60....they are scalin back:taunt: they are listening to ya will.

to be sure i dont mind the ttb at all especially for midwest wheelin. 8 luggin a d44 beam is just fine dy me.:icon_hornsup:

I told him to ditch the leafs, either way. (So I could get my hands on those shock mounts!)

Now he's talking finding a D60.....I just laughed. Good luck finding one of those.....He's already complained about the money he's spilt into this project.

I told him just to stick with the TTB and maybe he'll have to bastardize his truck till he can just do the chevy knuckle swap.

TTB is a turd, but a very loved turd, and worth being polished by many!:D

I've got my D44 TTb packed up in a crate in my shed right now and have a line on a D50 pig with 4.10's. It's just a matter of time.

this isnt even my thread and im lost....if your going to keep the TTB go to coil and if not just keep it leaf and go to SAS in the front. I just put a full size 8.8 and D44 TTB under my b2(btw Johnny it went from a 28, 35, and now a 44TTB...u can call me a believer :P ) anyways u using it for Hauling or wheeling?

Got any pictutres??

You pack away extra parts too, huh? lol

He's decided to go with the 2 swaps mentioned earlier. The junkyard nearby that has 2 8 lug chevy's won't let the outers go, and it's pissing me off. Why own a junkyard and not sell the parts of trucks that have sitting down there for years....???

I'll keep an update on what's going on. We haven't had many chances to work on it between me messing with my truck and him having drill and classes with the reserve.....
