Hey guys,

I'm new here and new to the ranger in general. Just bought the truck a month ago and tried to do some routine maintenance (oil/filter air filter, plugs/wires and fuel filter) Well trying to use the disconnect tool one of the sides of the fuel line (on the side of the engine) broke on me. I went to autozone to get new retaining clips but cannot find this nylon washer, nor do I know the order in which it goes in. Can anyone help me with this. The guy at autozone recommended getting the 5/16 replacement quick connect and cutting my old line. Any thoughts? Here are some photos of what my stuff looks like.

A 3" of 5/16 fuel injection hose and 2 clamps. is what I used. Where do you live? The Mohave desert? That frame and the brake line look brand new. You don't live in the Rust Belt that's for sure..:D

lol no I live in GA so no rust on our cars. What kind of clamps did you use? Advance auto, O'reilly's and Autozone don't have 5/16" fuel clamps! Just the normal hose clamps!

A word of advice from a old, very experienced guy!
Forget about the damn hose and clamps. Make your repair in a manner where you will NEVER have to think of it again! Also when that ride leaves your hands the new owner will not have to worry about previous shotgun repairs. The hose and clamps may be Ok to get home on but outside of that shouldn't be thought of.

Regular hose clamps. The piece of BMW hose and clamps will outlast the Ranger. I 'm not worried a bit about a workmanlike repair on a cheaply made fuel line :D
