Need help w/lift decision

All,
I’m new to the Ranger scene and I have the usual newbie questions. I know what a body lift does and I also know what a suspension lift does. My question is this: Do either of these lifts make the truck look any different? In other words, if I were to park one Ranger with a 2in body lift next to a Ranger with a 2in suspension lift, would the layman be able to tell the difference? Here’s my conundrum: I just got a smokin’ deal on a 1995 Mazda 2WD and I want to have a little fun with modifying it some. The truck is completely stock; she’s a 2300 w/5-speed, PS, A/C and a very straight body and only 66K on the clock. Picked her up for $1500…

I want to put a small lift on it because I plan on adding a set of 15’s with some fairly aggressive tread tires just for looks. Also, if I go the suspension route, I’ve seen loads of kits from AAL w/blocks for the front springs to kits w/blocks for the rear and springs for the front. What is best?

If you only doing it for looks just get a body lift And new body mounts and throw some tire on her.

sploder springs and some stacked washers up front would do the trick as well

you can actually put 31s on a 2wd without doing anything to the suspension or a body lift as long as you have a stock offset wheel or greater.

I ran 31s on my 2wd 94 but I had them mounted on Jeep Comanche wheels which are less of an offset so the tires made contact with the frame during tight turns.

After running them for a while I installed Daystar leveling spacers in the front & Explorer leafs in the rear for bigger payload

With the leveling spacers & the explorer leafs,Anything bigger & you would need either a suspension or body lift or just trim the front bumper & the inner fender panel by the floor board.

Or throw in pair of ranger 4.0 coils up front and belltech 6400 shackles in the rear. Instant 2" lift for less than a days work, and under $200. Just remember to get it aligned.

does the bell tech shackles & 64" chevy springs combined allow for the factory 4wd lift blocks to be removed & still have an increase of lift?

I'm in the same boat as I just bought a 95 b2300 2wd w/ 48k for 1500. I just found some 31x10.5x15's that I want to put on after I install some front coil spacers. After searching through forums for a while it seems as though 31s will fit no problem, I just have to get some money for it all
