need help putting engine back together

can anyone help?! i bought a 1987 ford ranger that was partially torn down for a valve job and i dont know how to put it back together. its a V6, 2.9L 4x4. any engine diagrams or info or pics wopuld help. thanks :worthless:

Shop manual would give you a break down.

If the heads are off of it, start by getting head gaskets and head bolts and getting them put on. But hard to say what you need to do without knowing where you are on it.

Most torque specs you would need can be found in the shop manual or a basic repair manual, I am not by any right now or else I would look up the specs for you. You will need a decent torque wrench. Lifters will need to be installed before the heads are put on.

I think the trickyest part is going to be putting the accessory brackets on correctly, but everything else is pretty strait forward given everything is clean and you have the torque specs and bolt sequences.
