My 88 Ranger 2.9L oil pressure sensor is leaking. I bought a socket that fits it. The motor mount is keeping the socket from going on all the way. I even took the black plastic cover off the sensor. Any help is much appreciated

Adjusting wrench, pipe wrench, vise grips, channel locks.... just turn it counter clockwise.

There is a tool for doing plumbing work. It’s like a mini pipe wrench end turned sideways on a T HANDLE. it would work well 4u .

I got to mine with a wrench, handle pointing into the 7-8 o’clock range. It was tight and slow, but worked. The tool from the previous post sounds awesome though! Good luck 🍀

That tool is called a basin wrench for anyone trying to look it up.

I just replaced mine on my 4.0, which im 99% sure is in the same place. Used a wrench, came right off. Used a 1 1/16 wrench I think? I'm pretty sure it was around that size anyways.

Crow's foot may be the ticket.
