I have replaced the cap rotor plugs cables 2 months ago and my truck still has a problem starting. I know that my truck has an issue starting after some time siting off. The only way I can get it started is to spray starting fluid into the intake manifold. I have not replaced the distributor since I've owned the truck its got 190,000 miles. New injectors cables plugs cap and rotor. Less than 5,000 miles on it. Any help is great.

Sounds more like a fuel related issue to me. I would get a fuel pressure gauge on it and ensure the fuel system primes properly when you key on before starting.

I agree, if it starts fine on starting fluid it isn't a spark problem. Spark works the same on gas or ether, so you have a fuel issue. It's probably bleeding the pressure off back into the tank and not getting primed well enough before you start cranking. I'd be looking at the fuel pump at this point.

Try cycleing the key 4 or 5 times before you start it.

I bought a new pump 2 months ago. I changed the Fuel filter and still am having problems.

try replacing the distributor, everything else seems new. still seems like a fuel issue and not ignition. are your injectors leaking or clogged?

"New" doesn't mean "works properly"

I still say put a fuel pressure gauge on it... it is the only way to determine if it "works properly".

No but the smell of fuel is reaching mybtruck cab
Then you are definitely losing fuel/pressure some where. If it is getting into the truck, I would start looking in the engine bay for a puddle or drip. Starting at the rails and going backwards.
