Hey guys, I've got access to a database with the local library for wiring diagrams but for 1990 they just have listed a 2.3L, 3.0L and 4.0L... is any of those wiring diagrams the same for the 2.9L, or anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1990 ranger w/2.9L? Thanks!

**they've got the wiring for an '87 w/2.9, is it the same for the '90?

The 89 Diagram should be the same. Yes the 87 should work also.

Cool, You should to a build thread on it. Are you planning anything special for it?

Nothing to crazy to start. I mainly need to get it on the road so I don't have to keep hitching a ride with the wife, lol. But I plan to go through the TC motor and put all new gaskets, inspect the bearings/clutch disc, port the E6 manifold, install a stock T3 and maybe port it a little, and install a ported lower I got from 40bob.com....

then i'll be saving up to get a gutted/rotated upper manifold, fab up a FMIC for it, get a 40bob 3" T3 exhaust housing outlet, 3" exhaust all the way back, bigger injectors, 255lph fuel pump. I've also got a MS1 v3.0 all assembled and sitting here that will go on after everything else mentioned.

I'm hoping to have it at least mobile in about two weeks. I'll start a work log after the swap is done.

I've got a 3" V-band Exhaust housing for a T3 if you are interested.

If you want free diagrams, Autozone has them (it's easier to search through google than to navigate the site), but they're basically what you'd find in a Hayes. I've found that the wiring colors differ. If you want free specific diagrams, go to the Ford dealership and have them make copies of the pages you need. IMO, just buy them.

well my local library has ALLdata that I can print off, as well as an online version similar to chiltons that i can access. Why buy when you can get for free?

Well ok, if you knew where to get them for free, then why did you ask? :)

I have them to save me the trip, I have my EVTM right there in my file cabinet when ever I need it.
