about a month or two ago i got a set of 4" lift leafs from superlift, i was planning on eventually installing a 4" sus. but due to expences ive decided to go with the 4" SL leafs in the back with no block to acheve 2" lift in the back, and i want to install f150 coils and f150 factory spacers to gain around 2" in the front, the truck is a ranger STX extended cab with a 3.0 v6
so my questions are....

will i be able to realign the front using stock bushings?
will i have to relocate brake lines?
longer shocks completely nesscary for only 2" lift?

i reviewed the tech. article on the f150 coil upgrade and the guy claims it might be possible to realign with 3 deg. bushings, and if memory recalls 3 deg. bushings are the aftermarket ones for lifts 4"+ of lift. correct me if im wrong, it has been a while, well anyway thanks allot!

There are just too many variables between F-150s (and their coils) and Rangers to know if any particular set of coils is going to work on any particular Ranger.
You'll probably just have to get the coils and try it.
Get the fully-adjustable 2-piece camber bushings though, this way at least you won't have to mess with swapping around different bushings, if you need a different degree to get it aligned, you can just reindex your same ones.

alright ill look into those. any particular brand or company i should get them from? how easy are they to install? im by no means an allignment pro but i do know i cant afford to have a shop put them in for me

Rockauto.com sells them (Moog K8986, Spicer 6122025). I know Napa has them as well (not sure which brands they carry, they're all basically the same though)

well i backed out of the drive way today and two of the leafs in the spring pack on the back driver side snapped where it attaches to the axle. so this project just got put on prioriorty level sence im going to have to put the SL leafs in this weekend.. does anyone have any idea of what the hell the codes for the f150 coils mean? i found a website that gives the GVW of different f150's and it looks like the deminsions of a reg. cab shortbox f150 is close in dimensions to the ranger (aside the ride hight) with an added 500lbs or so at the curb.

im wondering if theres a better solution to gain 2" in the front maybe another coil? ive been doing some reaserch but due to the time constraints in now under maybe you guys can give me a better solution.

im not really looking to spend the 140 for 2" ranger lift coils, im looking to fit the coils and spacers in a $100 budget to keep this fix under $$200 ($60-70 in the bushings) while lifting 2"

any help would be GREATLY apprecieated as i need to get her running by monday (its the DD)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks!

you could try your local junk yard. also there are many threads about using flat washers of the correct size (and hockey pucks) to use as spacers for the front springs. have you been checking the parts for sale forum? good luck.

well it occured to me today, if i elliminate the 2" lift blocks in the back and replace with 4" leafs ill net 2" in the back and inorder to acheve equal ride height ill need to net about 3-4" in the front, i have a 4" drop pitman arm but dont have any drop brackets, will it even be possible to realign with new fully adjustable bushings?
