Neat Little RVB Kit

If they made a kit to convert a 2011 Ranger into a Gen 2 or Gen 1 body I'd be sold. Other than that I'll save my green for my green machine.

They use the same body mount locations, so technically Ford did some work for you already.

That is flat out retarded. You want a Hummer? Buy one. Don't disgrace yourself and your truck by turning it into a hardcore wannabe. I can appreciate the work, but I'll still make fun of you. I hate kit cars in general, though. Especially Fiero to Lamborghini conversions. I do make an exception for classic bodies on modern chassis. Sometimes it's the only route you've got for a good classic vehicle that you're sure will start every time you turn the key.

I am in no way referring to the awesomeness that is Noble, Factory Five or Radical. Those are legit "kit" cars, not just "kitted" cars. I would like to build a Noble someday.

I personally make special exceptions for people making repro's of race cars as well, like a GT40, or even some newer ones, again, due to cost and rarity of real race cars.

The Noble is one hell of a car, but don't forget the spritely little Caterham.

You need a class B (over 2300lbs? The Limit with a C think?) to drive those (they weigh over 5 tons, hense their nickname "5-ton") I think, and those are terrible on gas, there is 4 or 5 for sale around here, they use em as plows. We even got old retired military trucks, blazers, and more. Even some willies. And our armory guys like taking the humvee for joyrides haha.

I'm pretty sure that the limit for a PA class C is only 17,000 lbs.

I may be wrong on that pic but to me it looks like an old m-35. which is a 2.5 ton truck.. by my research and dealing with using them as brush trucks a Deuce in a Half is 13,030 empty. so taking that into account by the commonwealth of Pennsylvania's licensing laws.

A Class C license is issued to those persons 18 years of age or older who have demonstrated their qualifications to operate any single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of not more than 26,000 pounds or any combination of vehicles, except combination vehicles involving motorcycles, that does not meet the definition of a Class A or Class B vehicle. Where required, appropriate endorsements must be obtained.

The curb weight of an M35 is between 13,000 pounds (5,900 kg) and 16,000 pounds (7,300 kg) empty, depending on configuration (cargo, wrecker, tractor, etc.). Its top speed is 56 mph (90 km/h), though maximum cruising speed is approximately 48 mph (77 km/h). Fuel economy is 11 mpg-US (21 L/100 km; 13 mpg-imp) highway and 8 mpg-US (29 L/100 km; 9.6 mpg-imp) city, giving the deuce a 400-500 mile (600–800 km) range on its 50 US gallons (190 l; 42 imp gal) single fuel tank. On average, most operators experience tank averages of 8-10 mpg for an unladen vehicle.

Brake system is air-assisted-hydraulic six wheel drum with a driveline parking brake, although gladhands exist on the rear of the vehicle for connection to trailers with full air service and emergency brakes. Braking performance of the truck is similar to other power drum brake vehicles of this size. Each drum was designed with maximum efficiency in mind, and individual drums can dissipate up to 12 kW of braking heat. Due to this brake system and GVWR under 26,001 pounds (11,794 kg), the big deuce can be driven without a commercial driver's license in most states. Even California does NOT require a CDL to operate an M35 on public roads because even though it has three axles and an air-assisted braking system, the maximum gross weight is still under 26,000 lb (12,000 kg), making it eligible for class C on-road driving; and because the primary braking system is hydraulic, not air.

Brain fart :icon_twisted:

I would get one then, but they be expensive on the wallet when I reach the pump. Heck, I can just see them charging my card as I approach the gas station o_o

i'm in trouble then, my bronco weighs more than 2300 pounds.

i could justify the money for them... but its cool

^^^What he said....wast of money to me.... it looks like a cheap kit as well. I pulled up the info on it and I am not impressed for $5,000......

15,000!?!? :icon_confused:

for that much cash you can buy a really nice newer truck!

^^^ What he said. Just really dumb to spend that after you buy all the kit parts....just too much money!!!!
