Mystery Electrical Connection

I replaced the head gasket on my 1994 Ranger. After putting the motor back together, I came across an electrical connector that I can't identify. The end is red, round and has a smooth surface. The wiring for this connector exits the wiring harness around the same place as the ones that lead to the A/C compressor. Anybody have a clue what this connector is for?

Thanks,

RGx2

Is it for your oil pressure sending unit or your low side pressure sending unit (for the ac system?)

That goes to that a/c switch next to the compressor. Looks like a cylinder in the hard line. Goes into the bottom, so it's hard to see.

Thanks for the info. I will check it out later today.

That plug looks almost like the plug in for the computer diagnostic machine. I am not sure yet but I will let you know tomorrow because the truck is at home. The picture helped a lot. But I will let you know.
