I just bought a 2001 Ranger. In looking it over I find there is an engine bay wire harnesss with the end clipped off and wonder what it might be for.

Everything appears to work fine.

The harness is routed along the drivers side front fender and ends right at the ABS unit. The connector....assuming there was one... is cut off and end taped up. Looks like it should go to the ABS, but ther is no connector on the ABS unit itself. Looks like an OEM harness.

The vehicle does have cruise. The cable markings are obscured in part. I can read the following:
Ford logo
4W___?
14A___?
C321K
6B

There are some other connections in and out of this main trunk going to the master cylinder for sure. One ends in what appears to be another small open connector. Test connector maybe.

Might just untape it and see what it looks like inside.

Took a couple photos. Can't seem to attach them. Any advice on that?
