well i modded the shifter with actual bolts and nuts , plus a lock washer on each sied , i got her washed , got my new leaf springs , leaf spring bolts and u-bolts , and finally installed my cargo light

i played around on some seasonal roads down at school , here are some pics taken after

i brought my tool box and some parts home from college ( i dont need my tools in the class i am in now ) , so i drove around back of the house to drop off the parts in my parts pile , then i figured i could make it up the hill and into the driveway , yea , that didnt happen as planned

i had to get pulled out with our GMC 3500HD with the 6.5 Turbo diesel

i almost made it up on the driveway , and when i went back dow the hill i went to fast and jacknifed the trailer , that is when it got caught on the tree and dragged me toward the pond when i went to go again

they are not a bad tire for the price , they just don't perform like a mud tire , but i wouldn't expect them to

i took it out wheeling and i clogged the air filter and killed the engine , i moved it the last 20 feet by getting it to start for a second and dumping the clutch , i eventually got it running again , and my oil pressure guage was acting funky , i attributed it to the water and mud , well i got halfway to my aunts house and it started knocking and lost all oil pressure , and at that point i said f-it , the enginge is already shot , so i got to within 2 miles of my aunts place and i had my foot to the floor and i was actually slowing down , i pressed in the clutch and the engine died , wont even turn over , i am gonna replace it with the .030 over freshly built 4.0 i have at my house

well i figure i will bring this thread back from the dead , the truck has been sitting since the engine died , it does turn over , but i cant get it to start and i know it will be making some noise once i start it , however , tonight at the auction i picked up a 96 Explorer with the 4.0 OHV with 123,000 miles on it for $400 , i bought it solely for parts , gonna put the engine and rear axle in this truck , keep the trans as a spare for the mud truck , and put the interior in this one ( Grey 6-way power leather seats , Full length console , OHC and Auto Dimming mirror , and sunroof ) , my goal is to have it ready in time for winter so i can take my mint condition 280k mile FX4 Level II off the road to keep it out of the salt
