looks good. lucky you got a helper for all the heavy lifting!!
is 1/8" strong enough? i would have thought maybe 3/16" or 1/4" for the mounting brackets. i'm no welder, but i am looking for someone around where i live to fab up a similar bumper for my 1st gen ranger.

always nice to have a helper:icon_thumby:

also agree with the 1/8 bein' aweful thin for mounting plates....may want to find some thicker for that....

heck, mine are 3/8, but i have a heavy winch as well as use it to "bump" around trees on tight trails.....

Looks good. Subscribing.

I am using 7/32 (over 3/16) for the mounting plates, 1/8 for the top and bottom skirting, and the main body of the channel steel is 1/4.

its only half welded right now and its already stronger than the frame.

Subscribed. I want mine to look something like yours also. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress.
Paul

yea the 1/8th will be fine for the top plate....it should be stout enough
