Can't see why anyone would swap to manual steeing. My 96 Ranger has manual steering and it's a bitch to get into or out of a parking space. Yea I get it about road feel and all but this is a truck, not a sports car.
My power steering was really sensitive. Too sensitive for my tastes.
Sure it takes a bit more thinking ahead to get into and out of some parking spots, but that's part of driving. Some argue the same point when people want to swap to a manual transmission, "Why would you want to use both feet and hands as you drive?" "That sounds like alot of work..."
I know I'm a better driver for having to use more of my brain and body to get my truck where I want it to go when I drive around.
