My credo
Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.
When I replaced my Valve cover last week, the main strap copper ground wire broke off the block, so I replaced it from the firewall (it's original location) to the top of the intake manifold, is this ok? Ill send a photo shortly.

If you aren't having any electrical problems since the change, I'd say it's definitely okay. The intake manifold would be grounded through the metal fasteners to the block.

That's what I figured.

It would be better to the original location. Be sure to clean it. Intake manifold is aluminum, not the greatest conductor for a ground, but will works.

Thanks, but I don't know where it exactly broke off from. That's why I mounted it to the intake. It was dry and brittle when it broke, so I couldn't find the location where it broke off at.

Back of drivers side head, usually 13mm bolt head, if you want to feel around for it
short bolt only there for the ground strap
