I picked up a set of RHS aluminum heads 2.02 intake 1.6 exhaust from my performance shop for $500. A customer had brought them in for some performance work and never picked them up. Tom notified the police and both tried to get the owner to pay and pick up his parts. Eventually Tom was legally able to sell me the heads, but the catch was he could only charge how much money he was "owed" originally. That was a big score. Another great source for parts are car shows, swap meets, and craigslist along with waiting for stores like Jegs and Summit to run sale ads on parts you really should purchase new. I would not hesitate to purchase a used intake manifold and port it, but an oil pump for instance I would purchase new. lol, common sense and a little patience will get you a better motor for your dollar.
