M5OD swap list help!

finally found a good m5od from j yard

need to know if i can use a computer from a ranger (same year and engine)? will all the wiring be the same?

I assume your just changing the tranny and your looking to take out the auto wiring and have a backup light. You know the a4ld is not electronic controlled that year and you might be able to bypass the neutral safety switch put in backup lights trace the wires and see how it runs then hunt down and change the harness and computer if you need to.

I didn't need to change the computer in my '89 runs great, I did however have to bypass the neutral safety. Not sure on the older trucks
