I have found it more than difficult to trace information on this topic that is comprehensive so decided to try this route. I know there are numerous others who have thought of doing this also, and had a hard time as well in knowing how to approach it.
There are also numerous others here who have have been around the block with it a dozen or even dozens of times. Your input here will be more than valuable to the success or failure of those us who do not really know the ropes in this procedure.

I'm offering here what I do have, which is merely technical data, in hopes of finding some practical knowledge to help those of us without it a better opportunity of clear this hurdle. Thank you all

Please note that the tech data is specific to the 93-94 models, I'm not sure exactly how many others they might apply to.

The following is for Disassembly and Assembly of the Shaft itself

Thanks to those who lend a hand.
Good luck to those of us who need it

I found this to be a very comprehensive video. Showing nearly all parts of the disassembly and reassembly.. From there, if you have the required 4wd shaft, then it should be that hard to figure out.

Are the R2 and R1 very similar?

I can't see there being any huge differences as far as disassembly/reassembly.. Sure, the parts will be a little different, but the overall process can't be that much different.
