i have a 2002 ford ranger 4.0l 4x4 super cab (or what ever its called, it has 4 doors lol). I want to lower the back about 2 inches to make it level with the front (torsion suspension up front). I am not good when it comes to lifting or lowering so i dont know the components needed for this. I am also going to buy new shocks for the soon and put them on their. would i need to get shorter shocks for the lower travel or would it self compensate? All i need to know is what components are needed for the drop and if i will run into any problems if i do so.
Thanks!
Abel

Remove the blocks under the leaf springs and get shorter U bolts.

Usually people crank the torsion bars to make the front level with the rear....

im not wanting to lift it more i just want to level it out by lowering it not by raising the front end. I dont go off roading with my ranger any more so thats why i am lowering it a bit. How much will is drop by removing the blocks? will i run into any clearance issues?

The block is 2" thick, so it will drop it 2".

You will have no clearance issues, this is the same way 2wd trucks leave the factory.

sweet! gonna do this tomorrow at work! anyone got the length of the ubolts for the 2wd ones with out the blocks?
