Iam installing a upper and lower intake gasket set and I have a queston on where to put black RTV sealant on the lower intake gasket.Fel-Pro states on the gasket to put sealant on the ends ( I take that means both sides). Is there any other locations i would need to put sealant on to make sure I will not have any leaks?

I like to put it around the water ports too. Both sides of the gasket just thick enough that you can't see through the rtv.

You put it on the metal shoulders at the front and rear of the block where the intake will press down, there is no internal pressure in that cavity under the intake but it can leak out oil vapor.

Yes, a little around all 4 water ports never hurts, but just a little.

The gasket has a orange coating on what looks like all the mating contact points.Does sealant need to be put on them as well?

You really do not need to put sealant on the gasket at all.

Some like to put some sealant around the water passages because they run at 18psi of pressure when engine is warmed up.

Once I get into the work of it, I can get better idea what I'll need to do.Thanks everybody for their input.
