I'm super pissed at myself. I lost both my transponder keys for my 99 ranger. I do have a key that will open the doors. Is there anyway I can bypass the pats system to get my truck running?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Nevermind. Whew. Thank goodness. I just found one of them.

I'd go get a few more made.

I like to always have at least 3 PATS keys, that way if I lose one I can program them the short/free way, only need to buy a key.

Make a cheap non-PATS copy of it, take apart the steering column cover, and secure the PATS key right next to the key cylinder. Then you won't have to worry about it anymore.

Thanks. That's a good idea. I'm going to go to wal mart and get a copy of my pats key tomorrow just in case. Then I'll do what you recommended.
