hello i am going to do a 4wd conversion on my 1986 2wd ranger and i have looked around on here and i have seen that you can put in a 4wd crossmember to mount the ttb axle but i was thinking if the measuremenes are correct can i use the 2wd crossmember and 2wd pivot point brackets and mount the axle to that . the only reason i am going to do this is because it has no engine or tranny in it so i figure its not going to take too much more time to swap in a axle and i will get a tranny that is 4wd .thanks for any ideas and comments

use a 4x4 k member

actually, put a straight axle in it.

the only problem with doing a straight axle is i don't know much about fab work and welding ,thanks

you can pretty much install a leaf 30 with a drill and cutoff wheels.
