I'v lurked in this site for a few years, but don't think I'v ever posted.. I'v owned a few Rangers over the years, done a '01-'03 conversion on a '98 2wd I had, but nothing too radical.. Anyway, I'm building a rat-rod that is sitting on most of a 1994 Ranger extended cab chassis ( cab is custom built by me ). I cut the rear off and rebuilt it with 2x3 steel, coil overs and ladder bars, which are currently just tacked in place enough to hold the truck up.. The Ranger was a 4cyl 5spd. Going to drop a 300 I6/ 5spd in it, because that's what the junkyard I use has. Only refrence to 300 I6 rangers brought me back here, and I know the mounts are simple, I just don't know what to buy.. I have a 460/ C6 I was going to use for it, but it needs rebuilt and I'm doing this on the cheep.

kewl.....

assuming you want to keep the tib setup, i would just lop some spring eyes off at the junkyard and build mounts with those.

Interesting idea. might work

just weld a little, dip it, weld some more.....gets a little smelly but easy to make and cheap plus they work good.

its rat roddish right?

yep.
