I am looking at upgrading my head unit next week. Now the question is should I pay the inflated local price or order it off the net?

Thanks for your CONSTRUCTIVE inputs.

EDIT:

Forgot to add the head units.

Locally $350 Internet $369 (To by pass the parking brake requires a relay or toggle switch)

Locally $400 Internet $330 (There is no way to bypass the parking brake but it does not matter to me since I do not watch movies in my truck)

Well I found a Sony XAV 62BT locally, the 2nd one, for the same price as on the internet. :yahoo:

Get the one that you can bypass the parking break. If you buy it locally then if there is a problem with it out of the box then you can take it back right then and there rather then screw with shipping it back and whatnot.

Here it is installed.

negative. i plan on adjusting it this weekend.

If the local shop helped you choose the unit and/or explained the differences between models and told you about features, you owe it to the local shop to buy from them. If you did your own research via the internet, buy from a trusted online vendor and save some cash.

I did my own research and went to a local shop that is owned by a friend from high school.
