I've driven this Ranger for a few hundred miles after the rebuild. I was able to solve the slew of codes (previous posts) in one fell swoop when I found a transmission electrical connection was loose. Now the codes are gone and the truck is running there is an intermittent problem. For some reason it has a random miss between 1800 and 2000 rpm. 50-55 mph. Other than this the truck runs and shifts perfect. Plugs are new, head is newly rebuilt, crank and cam sensors are new. The fuel injectors were cleaned and am using the OEM coil and wires. Since the misfire doesn't throw a code I'm looking for a place to start. Suggestions??

I would check the gap on the plugs and put the gap on the low end of the spec and see if that helps it. No one gaps new plugs out of the box, but they should be checked, even if they are new.
