So im puting my ranger body on a f250 frame and i was woundering whats better for 3 extra inches. doing lift leaf or stacking leafs to get those extra 3 inches ? i know the ride will suck but its still a work horse ? whats the pros and cons ?

if your not loading it and working it hard, make a traction bar and remove a leaf or two....add a traction block for the hight or relocate the hangers.

or convert to the chevy 63 inchers.

like im fliping the rear hangers for the extra 2 inches there already to go form rust and drop shackle for another 2" and stacking leafs for another 2" for the front im thinking a drop shackle for 2" and the rest with leafs. i want to get like 6" suspension lift form it because i haul srap metal, fire wood form my friends and tow a boat and use it as chip truck around the yard i hate using the wheelbarrow when i have truck to do it. so its does a lot for how big it is

This is not a question. It does not need a question mark. Also, you do not need a space between the last work of sentence and the punctuation to end said sentence.

with thin 8 packs i run about 3/4 ton equivilant

its stout but flexible

your springs are actual 3/4 so doing nothing and mounting the body with cut out wheel wells to run a larger tire is ideal

its still equal to a stock 1st gen with a 5 in lift but able to run 40 in tires no problem when the need arises.

currently i run regular type leafs in it and they are sissies for weight but ride nice.

they are on 4 in blocks.

okay thank you. So your saying leaving stock suspension on 3/4 ton is like 5" lift on 1st gen ranger ? if so thats bad ass because i wanted to 3" body for clearance for the motor

yup.....your doing what i would do.....nice and simple and very strong.

my truck is the opposite though....because i have one ton stuff under the ranger chassis wiith the 6.5 diesel swapped in.

those trucks you put look sweet thanks for the help it was small road bump i had going on. i want to run like 35-40s i hope depending on what i can find

those are the same truck i have been driving over 20 years and a million miles.

currently a 6.5 detroit/chevy diesel

dana 60's and 37 in militaries.

i run 33-37 in tires on the road....42's off road.

i am thinking i sliding my psd in there to finish it off...its in my e350 which is succumbing to rot....and pushing 900 k. having some cooling issues with it.

you never know, if i get the inkling i will drop that big bitch in there and be whisting around gods green earth with and even ratlier ranger then i have now...

i never heard of a Detroit in a ranger thats beast.thats ****in awesome man i love sound of Detroits screaming

the 6.2/6.5 was made by detroit diesel. its not a two stroker.....
