Welcome to TRS:

While you could just crank up the torsion bars in the front, that does nothing for the rear (unless you just want to level it). I use my Rangers as a truck, so they get 'leveled' up by load.

The cheapest way to lift a 2010 Ranger is to go to the wreckers and find a 98-07 Ranger and pull the torsion bar keys and the rear lift blocks (In '08 Ford lowered the Rangers 2" with thinner rear lift blocks and torsion keys.

The next step up are lift keys/thicker rear blocks, but they compromise the suspension - no rebound left

The expensive answer is the Superlift - gets you 4" on the 98-07/6" on the 08-10's.

Don covered it there. I’m also going to tidy things up and move it to the correct section for continued discussion…

sweet, thanks for the info. ive heard a bit about spacers/spacer kits. is that something that you would recommend or not?

Spacers are for trucks with coil springs, they won't work on your truck.

You can also do a body lift...

Hate to bump this thread! I want to install a pre 2008 lift on my 2011 sport can someone help me find a how to and parts list?

The parts are the easy part. Look up the axle blocks and torsion bar keys for a 1998 to 2007 Ford Ranger.

The axle blocks are pretty straight forward. Remove the u-bolts holding the axle to the frame, removed the original axle blocks, put the new axle block in it's place, install new u-bolts and torque to spec. Drive it around some to get the suspension to settle and retorque. Repeat until the nuts stop turning. This will probably take about a week with normal driving. It is important to get new u-bolts since they are not considered reusable and could either strip out or snap. Also, make sure the bump stop tabs are pointed the right way and orientation. Pay attention to how the old ones sat.

The torsion bar keys are a bit more tricky. You need a special tool to relieve tension on the adjustment bolts after jacking up the front of the truck and removing the cover plates. The forum store has an affiliate link to at least one of them that will work. Once the adjustment bolt is removed, you can remove the tool, remove the old key, and install the new key. Then the rest is the reverse. Once the truck is on the ground and driven around the block to get the suspension to settle, you can start working on the frustrating leveling procedure so the truck doesn't have a lean to one side or another. It is best to do this with a full tank of gas since the driver's side is going to be heavier than the passenger side. You will need a little more height on the driver's side than the passenger side to compensate for the weight of the driver unless you have someone that is similar weight to you sitting in the driver's seat. It's probably going to take you a few adjustment sessions and driving about to get the height right.
