My credo
Lord God is my guardian
My Ole friend for 31 years and 653,000 miles..superb ranger.

Then an asshole pull out in front me on June 18, did all I could to prevent it..I could not save it. I truly wanted to kick this idiot's ass BIG TIME. Has been proven a total loss. I'm hurting really bad. When it's settled perhaps I can find another ranger. Have an injury attorney and my insurance is on top of this.

My ranger had a great life.

glad you are moving and breathing.

no way i would let it go....

its a ranger. easy to fix.

I have no place to store it, nor can i do anymore work like I used to. Both ball joints are busted, inner fender destroyed, core support is destroyed, frame is bent, and much more. My health is deteriorating, and it just wouldn't be the same truck. This ranger was a million percent perfect condition..looks, drivability etc. There's alot wrong with it.

Oof, sorry to hear that, I'm with Bobby though but I understand your situation, my '97 has been through worse other than I was able to save the fender and hood, my core support looks to have been worse than your pictures show but my frame wasn't too bad other than the bumper mounts on the frame horns... If you were closer and my shop wasn't full and I had time I'd definitely help out.

So sorry to hear of your accident and hope you heal quickly. 653k miles? That is outstanding and the memories you have of that truck.

Damn the luck. I hope your attorneys sting them good and get a settlement that will allow you to replace it.
On the books, it has little value, so any record of repairs/upkeep might help your case. Pictures, too.

I hope you weren’t hurt to badly.

That’s a rough one. Hopefully you can find another Ranger and still get out once in awhile, always love seeing the pictures you post @mtnrgr , I know you’re struggling along in this world with your health and that’s always been a bright spot to see you still getting out and getting nice pictures of nature

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved truck. I can only hope the things end well.

That's what really sucks about driving these old trucks. In corporate dollars and cents, they're not worth anything, but just try to replace one with a comparable truck. It's a hard thing to do.

where is the truck? what town. i might know someone that can pen it up for a bit.

Bobby, do apologize for the late relpy..been dealing with a whole world of health issues on top of what I had prior to this. Haven't been on here at all since my last post. Recently seeing all replies. The truck is gone to who knows where. I have no information on its location. Dealings with more Dr's, insurance, attorney, the loss of my 94, so much more..

I recently purchased a new ranger with the help of family. Saw this on craigslist in oregon, drove the rental car to look at it. Drove it and inspected it fully as I could. Put a deposit to hold it. Last Thursday I drove it home from oregon, and it did great. Already did some easy maintenance using all motorcraft part..Air filter, fuel filter, engine oil and oil filter, spark plugs and wires, pcv. It needs some engine gaskets, I'm certainly unable to do this. It will be going to mechanic to have those done.

I also changed out the front grille from extra parts I had from my 94. I have a few plans for this truck..nothing drastic. The camper is being removed also.

Here are some pictures..it a 1997 ford ranger 3.0 5spd with air conditioning, exceptionally clean ranger with original miles..see picture.

That thing looks super clean! Nice score there! We are all still praying for you and I guess now we can get back to anxiously awaiting more cool nature pictures from when you go out for a drive, lol

Looks like the beginnings of a great new chapter. So clean.
Thanks for the update. Always good to see your posts.

It's a extremely rare find. I was planning to go on some road trips this month into the mountains in my 94 ranger..now that I'm dealing with alot more and adjusting to this ranger those will be later than sooner..I'm really urging to go on a road trip. The couple of times I drove to oregon and back, that was cool..yet I need in depth to the mountains. When I get the maintenance and register it in this awful state I live in and get some pain relief I will be going on some trips as I m able to. Here is a picture of Mt Shasta on the drive back from Thursday.

Certainly will be. Getting used to a stock ranger with a stock engine and stock gear ratio and stock rims and tires..I'm getting there, slowly 🐌 😀 👍
