My '94 2.3 runs great, just dropped in MPG from 27 to 23 (at best). I have had a suggestion of possibly leaky injectors. What should I notice?

If you are looking to diag this, look for moisture (fuel) around the base of the injector. Also look at your fuel rail to check the upper injector o- rings. You will probably want to remove your upper intake and throttle body for a better look. Hope this helps. Decreased fuel economy could also be caused by a number of things...

1. plugs and wires
2. blocked fuel filter
3. retricted air filter

would probably be a good start.

Thanks for the suggestion(s). I'll check for the moisture. Plugs (Motorcraft platinums) & wires (8mm Autolites) & fuel filter replaced last sumer. K&N filter washed dried and reoiled (allowed excess to drain for 48 hours) last week.
