My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Tomorrow brings to a close a trip I made to Land Between The Lakes, KY to get a feel for the area and try to find a campground for our fall adventure. While the TRS Staff cogitates over my findings, here is a little bit of what I saw.

This area is beautiful and offers things to pique almost anyone's interests. The scenery Is beautiful. Just driving the roads is relaxing and peaceful. Two huge lakes with boating and fishing. Animal sanctuaries, including bison and bald eagles. One of the bison areas, you can drive through. A working 1850s Era farm/ homestead. 3 visitor centers with exhibits and information. One has a planetarium. An OHV park. Miles of dirt and gravel forest service roads. I encountered deer rabbits, squirrels, turkey and more. Discover old house ruins and historic cemetaries. I found a place called Hotel California. I still want to look for the vampire hotel. Then there are things to do in nearby towns. I'll be returning to Casey Jones Distillery for a quick visit.

Thanks to RRS members Robert Mangrum and Randy Beery for showing me around their workplace on Monday. I needed a break as I rode across Central Tennessee.

So pack your bags and get ready for the TRS Fall Adventure!

I traveled light and fast this week.

A beautiful but primitive camping area. Kentucky Lake in the background.

This group of 6 deer came through my campsite several times each day.

No bus pics?

The ones they work on are definitely NOT school busses. We'd have to increase membership fees a lot to get one of those for the staff.

I wonder what kind of bus @Robertmangrum.rm would envision for us?

Don't say a short one. :not_i:

Here is the bus driver 😀

I ll have to get playing on photoshop and make the TRS tour bus. First, I have to get home. Thought I was going to miss the rain. But the forecast changed again. I have 3 hrs of rainy motorcycle riding to do today and it's all twisty mountain roads, beginning with.

Make that 4.5 hrs in the rain.

Frogg Toggs are great. Not perfect. But great. My torso was still dry when I got home. I don't know how water got into some of the places it got into. But it got there.
