just wrecked the ranger!!PISS!


the frame is going to be the kicker i hate to say. 2.9 v6/auto tranny shouldnt matter that front end should work out fine. since you have a few 300zxs laying around a vg30dett swap would be awesome, i always wanted a 300zx...hell id take a 240sx for that matter...
 
yeah..its been snowing a bit lately, so i havent got a chance to tear it apart and see where the frame is actually bent at, once i find out, then ill make a decision of what to do with it..and if i was to do a swap out, id go with a 302 or 300-6(throw a set of twins on it and make it one hell of a sleeper), i wouldnt put twins on a 302 but id stroke it out to a 347 with 351 heads(ported and polished) high rise intake msd 6-al hooker comp long tubes, forged pistons from the 5.4 cobra if i can get them to fit..possibly a shaker type hood just for kicks..lol..but i dont mix and match motors...im really ford all the way..my ultimate dream is to actually do a complete rebuild of a square body ranger and figure out how to stuff a 7.3 turbo powerstroke diesel btween the rails, and because it would be so tight under the hood, run headers with twin exhuast mounted turbs and dump them straigh up out of the bed, 4x4 with a 4 inch lift and a set of 35inchers rolling on dana 60's with twin sticks in the cab!!but i dont have the money, parts, truck, machinery, or time to do that yet!
 
sounds good with the 302 but the dam headers wont clear the cab from what im reading lots of fab work but sounds kewl
 
if i had the equipment readily available to me i could build a set of completely custom anything!!headers, boost tubes, engine/tranny mounts...i did a complete teardown and rebuild on my old 4wheeler back when i lived in tx with my dad, and his garage is loaded with tools and welders torches..u name it..
 
funny u mention four wheelers im a certified yamaha tech that works at a dealership. i rebuild four wheelers constantly after they sink them in the sport known as "mud riding", i dont understand how you spend 5-9k for a bike, throw 3k worth of accessories on it, then wonder why warranty wont cover the 3k rebuild after you drowned it in water cuz your "snorkel" had a leak or you didnt seal off the pullrope cover and water and sand enters the main crankseal...i also build racing atv engines in my spare time and the only guy at work that touches rhinos...lol
 
well....i may have found sumthin to replace the old girl for now..its a 94 powerstroke..just like my other one just older...sittin on a 7 inch lift and 35's. excab with twin sticks..so its a manual tranny..not sure on the miles yet but 250000 is just breaking a diesel in.lol..says it has a small oil leak(prooly the rear main seal..) and its got a set of 6 inch stack out the bed...it looks damn good!!kinda a gun metal gray in color...only wants 4k for it...im waitin on the policia reporto and insurance guys to come look at my ranger...so we'll see!!hope i can get it..
 
well the officer had predetermined it was her fualt after talking to about 3 or 4 people who saw it happen...so im good there, just as long as the f u c k i n bastards dont try to screw me over on fixin it ill be just peachy!!

I have a Texas truck in KY too!!! I flew out there to pick up the only faithfull woman in my life.

I see you have either a 93 or 96 Ranger and with the damage level to your truck, it will be totalled.
 
its a 91 model...with the 2.3 lima, 2wd, 5spd...and a slew of new parts!!!kbb and nada say its worth about 2200...because it only has less than 85xxx miles on it!!thats just private party...retail is closer to 3400...idk..i know its totalled...just a matter of how much the insurance co. gives me for it and weather that will cover a newer truck and have enough left to fix my old one on the side bit by bit, piece by piece.
