I just bought a 2010 ranger, and I am trying to break it in very carefully. Unfortunately, I was shifting into second, and my foot slipped off the clutch before i could get on the gas smoothly. The clutch was fully depressed when I shifted into second, the problem came when I let off the clutch with no gas, because my foot slipped. The result was obviously a jerky shift. I could not hear a grinding noise, but I heard a straining noise from the transmission once I got on the accelerator. Can these jerky shifts damage the transmission? Or am I over-thinking this one time incident?
Any suggestions, or information would be greatly appreciated
