Do keep in mind my Ranger is an '83 without power steering...but

I used Borgeson Billet Steel U-joints, JEGS part no:

153014931 (3/4 DD x 3/4-30, for the steering box)
153014952 (3/4 DD x 1" DD, for the steering column)

153409418 (3/4 DD shaft, 18" long, cut to fit)

thanks for the insight everyone, i got the kit to work had to put a 2x4 metal block inbetween the cross member and motor mounts now the passenger side header wont fit
any opinions

my swap was an sbc....but I had a similar header/steering shaft problem....I moved the engine like you did....... off-center toward the passengers side ( your weight & the weight of a tank of gas should balance everything out)...

then I had to cut a 1/2" x 6" long notch out ot the top frame rail for the 2 center tubes to clear the frame....then the header easily dropped into place & bolted to the engine....
