Alright guys, I just installed the G50 Deaver Race Springs from Dixon Bros on my 01 XLT. On the James Duff website its says the traction bars won't work with overload leaf springs. Does this mean that the traction bars will not bolt right on properly, or some fabricating will be needed to get them to work? I don't want to order the traction bars untill I'm sure they'll work properly. Anyone ever try it?

Are your overloads above or under the main spring?
I believe the traction bar goes on the underside and the overload spring will be in the way. No way to fabricate it to clear it. You need to look for a style that goes on the opposite side of your overloads. I do remember seeing some bars for the top side once, but I can't remember who made them. I'll have a look see and post a linky when I find it.

The traction bars mount to the u-bolt plate and to the front spring hanger. As long as you don't have the el cheapo overload springs that mount on top of the leaf pack you are good.
