Hello everyone,
I'm having a hard time finding "good" instructions or a tutorial on how to remove the front bumper on a 2003 Ranger XLT 2-Wheel Drive.
Does anyone have an exploded view or a link to a write-up on this procedure ?
Also, any precautions I should note such as air bag sensors ? Method of supporting the bumper if removing by myself, ect ?

I'm replacing the black front bumper on my Ranger with a new aftermarket Chrome Bumper from the auction site which should arrive this week.

Thanks everyone.
Gary

While the 97 is different than a 03, the attachment process is the same. 4 18mm nuts hold it to the frame, 2 on each rail. Remove one nut on each side, loosen one and then remove the other. You can put a set of jack stands under the bumper as an extra set of hands to help balance the bumper with one hand as you remove the last nut.

Installation is reverse of removal, the bolts will move and slide to allow you to position and level the bumper

There are no sensors in the bumper itself, so basically a chunk of steel and plastic.

I’ve got a 2004 XL 2wd. Does anyone have pics of the bolts?
