injector retaining clips

Didnt take a pic when I pulled it appart....duh. How do the retaining clips go on? like this? It seems to me the injectors seat better without them. Anyone not use them?

I have not found a good way to put the clips in without having the injectors in the rail before they are installed to the manifold.

Its tricky to get them to seat, a lot of care, WD-40, and a rubber mallet help.

Nope.

Injector clips hold the tops to the fuel rail. Those are on the wrong side.
