If my rotor are flat and shiny do I need to resurface them when replacing pads?

I'm going to be doing brake pads soon. My rotor surfaces look very good and I can hardly feel any lack of smoothness in the surface. I'm going to check them for runout with a dial indicator.
I'm just wondering, if the runout is within specs, can I get away with not having them turned when I replace the pads? Maybe I'm just being cheap and lazy, but having to pull the rotors, get them resurfaced, and then pack, reaseat and adjust the bearings does seem like a decent amount of trouble if I don't have to do it.

just verify if you have good thick rotor otherwise change them. if you do not feel in the pedal stroke, no need to change

What would I feel? Like a pulsing as I come to a complete stop?

i would at least rub them down with some 80-100grit sand paper, just to get that glaze off of them.
