Got an 05...Everytime I get in, I bump my head off the door jam. Then, as I drive, my head rubs on the roof.

Has anyone run into this problem, and what do I do to fix it??

sorry. i couldn't resist ^^^. are the seats stock? perhaps you can get rid of the sliders and bolt the seats into one spot permanently.

Low-butt racing seats, maybe? Never had that problem.

amputation at the neck?

:icon_rofl:

I'm 6'6" tall and drove a regular cab for about two years before i got fed up with it and bought an extended cab. Never looked back and never bumped my head on the roof...the door frame...yes...and those things hurt!

Removing the sliders or low profile buckets are both good ideas that I considered myself...but never went there. Biggest problem is the sliders on all my seats allowed me to access the bolts easier so removing the seats might be more challenging with no sliders...might have to fabricate some bases that you can mount the seats on and have the install bolts more accessible.

I was thinking about different seats....maybe like Mustang seats or something that will bolt right in. But I don't know what seats will sit lower when bolted to my sliders. Time to get out the tape measure and hit the U-pull-it....

Yes, extended cab matters
I am 6'5" and no problems, in fact I like Rangers for that reason, more head room

Yes, lower the seats, maybe you got over stuffed seat cushions :)

I felt that the seats in my '03 were too high as well. I'm only 6'1", but my head would hit the ceiling when reaching for my wallet. Never had that problem in my '90 with the stock seats or the Explorer seats.
