I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
It’s time for a new daily driver, so last week I went to look at a 2019 Roush F-150. It’s very nice truck but it only had the 5.5’ bed and they wouldn’t meet the price I offered them. So I walked out.
The next day I went to another dealer closer to home and placed an order for a 2020 F-150 with the options I want. I’ve never factory ordered a vehicle before... waiting 8-10 weeks sucks!
So on to the details:
2020 F-150 XLT sport supercrew 4x4, 302A package, 6.5’ bed, 3.5l (required with the max tow package. I wanted another 5.0L), 10spd, heated seats, moonroof, spray in bed liner, power sliding rear window, f250 tow mirrors, navigation.
The color choices are pretty much limited to black, white, or 27 different shades of grey/silver. I went with Lead Foot grey and the black appearance package.
Here’s some pics from the Ford build and price site:

It’s been about a week since I placed the order. So 7-9 weeks left... did I mention waiting sucks!
My plan with this one is to lease it for 2 years. The new Bronco is supposed to come out in less then a year, give it another year to work out all the bugs, and I should be ready to purchase one in 24 months... ??

I never knew you could lease a custom order like that?

Yes you can, and you can even get the Z-plan discount... If your uncle is a retired Ford employee.
Technically, every order is a custom order. Ford doesn’t just send what they want to the dealerships, the dealership decides what options they want. In this case, I told them what to order for me instead of them deciding what to put on the lot.

I really like this black appearance package... even the Ford emblems are black.

That’s a sharp looking truck?? . U should like that 3.5 eco boost, my buddy has leased several of them and swears by them!

Nice truck sno...

A new truck isn't in the cards for me right now. Gotta save my jing a ling a ling for another year or two for my Bronco.

Side note... there is some buzz that they have been testing the Bronco hard core with 35's and 37's. Who know if it's true... but I believe there is a bunch to be seen yet for the Bronco.

We have a lot of them at work and I had a rental with one for a month... it’s got some power.

Thanks.
I’m far from rich, but I can afford to get a new truck every few years. So I do.
I’ll have to look for the spy shots... there’s always spy shots.

They posted some earlier today... 4 door on 317 70r 17's...

I still think there is more to come

I got a VIN number and a scheduled production date yesterday. It supposed to be built the week of 2/17.

the tow package “required” a 3.5 V6 instead of a V8? thats really odd. Im not sold on the ecoboost thing. Turbos are just another part that can/will go bad. Ive drove a farm tractor that had the turbo die. No power, used more fuel and was realistically not useable. I dont know what a automotive turbo runs, but a rebuilt 1855 Oliver diesel turbo is around $1,000.

Spending that new moderator paycheck already, huh?

The 5.0 makes 400lb-ft of torque, the 3.5 makes 470lb-ft of torque. (Except in the Raptor, it makes 510.)
We have dozens of 3.5l EcoBoosts at work... Most of them are at 100k miles or so and we’ve yet to have a turbo failure. With this being a lease just until the new Bronco comes out... I have a warranty for that, I’m not worried.

Yup, every penny of it... And then some.

My Ranger was built 2/17... of '85

I checked the status today...
It’s built, bed liner is sprayed, and its loaded on a train on it way to the east coast from Dearborn. :icon_hornsup:

I’ve got an estimated delivery date of 3/13 according to Ford and a delivery date of 3/7 - 3/10 according to the salesman.
I’d like to make a recommendation to anyone thinking about ordering a vehicle... DONT DO IT.
Waiting sucks!
