i need help, again

i have a 2.9l. i am currently putting the engine back in the truck. i have the engine and transmission mated together so it all goes back in in one piece. i've gotten everything into the engine bay im just having trouble getting the driver side engine mount to line up. i can easily get the passenger side engine mount to line up but no matter what i do i can't get the driver side mount to line up the only thing i haven't tried is loosening the bracket so i have more wiggle room to be able to line it up, but i havent had the time to try it yet so before i go to do that later this week i wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions. hopefully i will be able to work on it on friday so i can get some pictures up

I’ve done 3 . I fought the first one about 8 years ago . The last 2 I unbolted the brackets from the block and left the mounts and never had a problem bolting them back on the block . Works for me .

So I just take the brackets off and bolt them to the mounts then line the brackets up with the engine?

Leave them loose on the mounts and unbolt from the block . When it’s only the engine coming out I lift it up till it will clear and block the tranny up so you can bolt them back together and set them down . Then bolt the brackets back to the engine and tighten the mount stud . It helps if you have someone on top who can move the engine around to get the bolts started . Here’s a picture of my 4th and last one . It’s going 4.0 five speed . It’s a 90 BR 11 ! Good luck .
