I need a engine that will fit on my 2003 Ranger.

I have a V-6 3.0 L in my 2003 Ranger that is toast. My Ranger is an Edge 4x2 rear wheel drive, 6' bed.
I am looking for a motor that will properly fit and may or may not come from a Ranger.

Easiest is another 3.0l from a 2003 Ranger. That way it will bolt to your transmission. I believe you should be able to use one from any Ranger from 1998 - 2003. If in doubt, get the full wiring harness and ecu with the new engine. If you do that, you should be able to use any 3.0l from 1998 - 2011.

Make sure you get the correct engine as well. If you have a flex fuel, get a flex fuel engine. If you don't, get a non-flex fuel engine.

and there are ton of people parting rangers in houston and in the valley. i saw someone selling a 3.0 on marketplace yesterday and i believe it was in austin
