Yep, got to ride in one of them red and white ambulances! Got to go fast with all the lights on. Made me ride in a nice little cot with wheels on it. Really nice guys, talked to me all of the 30 miles to the hospital. When I got there, the people were really nice to me, rushed me into a private room. They took some pictures and, well.... Nice young thing had me drop drawers and shaved down there, you know. Shoved a long tube into the artier they cut open and said "Relax". Sure! Spent the next two days in cardiac ICU seeing them cute young ones night and day. 4:00 AM was blood sample and 4:20 AM was blood pressure/pulse check. Next two days were a little bit more relaxed but still hooked up with 12 monitor patches.
Boils down - take care of your body, exercise and watch what you are eating. Hell of a way to quit smoking! Thank God I haven't lost my sense of humor or enjoyment of life - a heart attack makes you look at things different! Doing good now the last month.
Dave of the Nord - Still around to bug you guys

Haven't seen you around lately or I missed your posting. Sent me to St Clair and just as expensive. Neighbor's live in GF is a nurse in the tramua/critical care unit at Aspirus. Just got a notice of cost that runs over $33k.

It is amazing what they think that is worth, my brother was in for four days and it was $16k just for room and board, everytime the dr checked on him was more and all the tests and crap was extra yet. Basically the $16k was for a crappy bed in a tiny room with a 19" tv with meh food.

Glad to year you came out ok though. :icon_thumby:

But a very sanitary room with a crappy bed and a sanitary 19" TV and meh food.

What the hell, Dave!

Man, don't do that again. If you don't want to come visit, just say so.

Damn. I'm sure glad your ok. We're dropping like flies. My ambulance/hospital stay a couple of months ago were around 60k. Don't you young whippersnappers drop that insurance. You never know when the widowmaker or falling could take you out.
