I bought an original rally bar & tubular rear bumper. These are pretty hard to find.
The guy I bought them from said he was going to scrap tomorrow if no one bought them.

Any advice on the rear bumper? I assume I'll be able to mount it without any modification.

Also, the parts are aluminum, I bought an original rally bar last week that is made of steel.
Did ford produce both aluminum and steel rally bars?

Looks just like yours, almost. The bumpers have a slight difference. Yours has 3 pillars and the pic only has two. And the one in the picture doesn't seem to have a bend like yours do. I don't know how much the varied through the years, of at all.

My 89 STX had the bend at the ends of the bumper... Maybe it was a 1st gen/ 2nd gen thing.

Can't see the mount on the bumper in the photo, but it probably bolts right on. The bed bar was obviously just for looks, and to hold a set of lights. Be glad it's aluminum. If it was steel, it would probably be all rusted out.

Make sure that any steel is isolated from the aluminum. Otherwise galvanic corrosion occurs. I have a aluminum body Grumman box van from 1980 and where the 2 metals touched it has holes.
