What do you Ranger experts think of the current 2010 Rangers? I am looking at an XLT Super Cab with the 2.3 and an auto box. As afficienados, what do you all think? The selling price is at about $16,000 at my local dealer. MSRP is $22,300.

I am looking for a commuter vehicle. I drive surface streets and a little freeway. My drive is about 30 miles total. I have a few little 1 mile trips each day too. A pickup would be nice for: Home Depot runs and typical home owner stuff.

Will a 2.3 auto box really tow anything? It is not a priority, but one never knows. I am looking to keep this truck FOREVER!

Thank you.

Mike

I like my 2010 XLT Supercab 2.3/auto but I have never heard anyone getting such a low price. The used 2007-08s go for that. I got mine new for 18,000 plus tax and title/registration...and that was at invoice price, the sticker was $22,300 too!
Great truck for the money but someone is BSing you in that $16,000 price

price sounds good to me, 3 grand over what i payed over my scsb 2.3 manual, id get the manual and personally would never own a 4cyl with one but thats not to say it isnt a reliable truck because it'll go 200k. should also have a 4.10 rear end which is nice

Great price

That is a great price for the truck you describe. A month ago I bought my 10 XLT reg cab 2.3/M5 with the Ford bedliner for $15,100 plus tax. Invoice less $3500 rebate. Mine had a $19,900 sticker.

that sounds like a nice truck and a great price. I did a little research for you. Edmunds says you should be paying about $18,200 for the truck....if you can get it for $16,000 that is great. I am close to buying a new 2010 Corolla, auto, AC for $13,500 includes destination charge. Edmunds says i should be paying $15,400 for it.......so that is about the same discount that you are getting for the truck.......oh and the corolla is 0% financing for 60 months..good luck if you buy it ......i love the 4 cyl and the auto.........
